Chinese CYIT Develops 0.13um 3G Handset Chip
October 14, 2005
CYIT (Chongqing Chongyou Information Technology) has successfully developed the first domestically-made 3G handset chip using a 0.13um process, significantly narrowing the price gap between 3G handsets and ordinary handsets. The chip is claimed to be the smallest, lowest power consumption 3G chip in the world. It is said the chip not only supports TD-SCDMA handsets, but also features high extensibility compatible with HSDPA and above technologies.
